To contribute with its expertise in safety and the reduction of occupational accidents by implementing innovative solutions. This is the premise of Achs’ participation in Hyvolution Chile 2024, a green hydrogen (H2V) event born in Europe and which has become the most important in the industry.
Achs’ participation will be together with Dekra, a leading consultancy in organisational safety in the world, with whom they have formed an alliance since 2013 that has successfully implemented methodologies in more than 450 organisations, and achieved a 30% reduction in accidents.
Rodrigo de la Calle, Product and Digital Strategy Division Manager at Achs, says that “Hyvolution represents a unique opportunity to present the preventive proposal of Achs, and contribute to the healthy and safe development of the industry throughout its production chain, from generation, transport, storage to applications. We are convinced that safety for workers, communities and users is an indispensable element to achieve the strategic potential of green hydrogen in Chile”.
H2V’s strategy is the implementation of an Occupational Health and Safety Management System (OHSMS) covering the entire production chain, from design to consumption. In this context, Achs, with its deep knowledge of the industry – it works with more than half of the most important green hydrogen projects in the country – processes and risks in safety and environment, has a preventive value offer based on innovation, technical management and safety, focusing on exposure and precursor control”.
What will Achs present at Hyvolution?
Another distinctive feature of Achs is that it is the only Chilean organisation and insurer worldwide that is a member of the Center for Hydrogen Safety (CHS), an entity dedicated to promoting safety in the production, storage, distribution and application of hydrogen globally. This membership allows it to offer its clients access to a network of experts, best practices, incident analysis and specialised training.
At Hyvolution Chile 2024, Achs will have a stand offering:
-Digital material from world experts.
-Training in the use of fire extinguishers with extinguishing simulators.
-CHS activities and resources, including webinars, conferences, technical bulletins, and certifications in safe hydrogen management.
For Achs member organisations, consultations on Dekra tools for operational leaders in the green hydrogen industry, such as Process Safety, Brain Centric, LDI, SafeAlign, LGF, among others, will be answered.
Rodrigo de la Calle highlights Achs’ participation in this version of Hyvolution Summit. “I want to underline our commitment to the safe development of the green hydrogen industry in Chile. Through our partnership with Dekra, we not only contribute to the country’s goal of maximising the production of clean energy, but also lead the implementation of safety and process standards, essential for Chile’s integration into the global hydrogen market”.
