AES Chile continues to promote the development of renewable energies in the country and, for this reason, it has become a sponsor of the second edition of Hyvolution in Chile to promote a space for innovation and sustainable development. The company is carrying out a transformational plan to become a leading company in renewable energies. AES Chile has doubled its renewable energy matrix, which represents more than half of its portfolio. In the last five years, the generator has invested approximately US$1.7 billion and added 1.1 GW of wind, solar and battery capacity to its portfolio. This is in addition to 889 MW of wind, solar and battery initiatives under construction, plus a pipeline of 1.7 GW of projects under development, all with an investment of more than US$2.5 billion between 2024 and 2027. This, together with the anticipated exit of thermoelectric plants, demonstrates AES Chile’ commitment to sustainable development.
