Airbus sustainable aerospace company will be present at Hyvolution Chile

With a 50-year track record, Airbus dominates the local aerospace market with an impressive market share. The company plans to reach 100% SAF in its aircraft by 2030 and develop the first commercial hydrogen aircraft by 2035.

Airbus has established itself as a leader in the aerospace market in the country. With 50 years of experience in innovation and solutions for the aerospace industry and with presence in Chile for more than 30 years, with 56% market share of the commercial aircraft fleet in service, more than 11 military aircraft in service and more than 140 helicopters in service. So far all Airbus aircraft can fly with a maximum blend of 50% SAF and conventional fuel. By 2030, they claim that their aircraft and helicopters will be able to fly with up to 100% SAF. Characterized by their strong commitment to the environment and sustainability, they want to develop their first commercial aircraft powered only by hydrogen by 2035. To ensure that future generations will be able to fly as much as we do. In Latin America and the Caribbean, Airbus has sold more than 1,300 aircraft and has an order backlog of more than 500, with more than 800 in operation throughout the region. Since 1994, Airbus has won approximately 75 percent of net orders in the region. In addition, the arrival of the second simulator at the A320 Pilot Training Center was made official this year. The first was inaugurated in 2021 and has already trained.
