A delegation composed of government officials and more than 60 Chilean companies will participate in the World Hydrogen Summit & Exhibition. The event brings together industry leaders, experts and experts from public and private organizations to discuss the energy transition, promote agreements and raise projects around green hydrogen.
The country’s representatives will arrive in Rotterdam on May 19. The inauguration of Chile’s stand at the meeting is scheduled for May 21, with a ceremony led by Diego Pardow, Minister of Energy, and Jorge Carvajal, Chile’s ambassador to the Netherlands. Then, the research, development and innovation center Fraunhofer Chile will be in charge of the presentation “Chile: innovation pole for green hydrogen and its derivatives”, along with Wood PLC, a company that develops high-impact projects in engineering and technical services.
In the afternoon, during the Chilean side event, the latest Chilean developments in green hydrogen and the opportunities it offers for the Dutch market will be discussed. Also, the H2 Antofagasta initiative will present the Conecta H2V experience, a project supported by Corfo Antofagasta and executed by the Catholic University of the North.
On Thursday 22, the closing day, the debate will focus on the business opportunities that Latin America represents for green hydrogen, and the public-private and European collaboration towards this goal.
In this regard, Rodrigo Lobo, Institutional Relations and Business Development Manager of GL Events, and representative of Hyvolution in the instance, said that “the virtuous articulation between government and private sector actors has laid the groundwork for the growth of the green hydrogen industry in the country. Chile’s participation in high-level events such as this one consolidates its relevance in the global energy scene”.
