The EDF Group (Électricité de France), French state-owned company and world leader in the production of low-carbon electricity and present in Chile through its subsidiaries EDF Chile and EDF Renewables Chile, will participate in the first version in the country of the largest energy and hydrogen exhibition in the world to share its experience on green hydrogen and highlight the importance of this fuel within the EDF Group’s strategy to advance in the decarbonization of the energy matrix. On behalf of EDF Chile, its CEO, Joan Leal, will participate as a speaker in the panel “The Chile-Europe hydrogen value chain: what are the next steps” on Thursday, June 29. While on behalf of EDF Renewables Chile will exhibit Alvaro Valladares, manager of New Markets, who will be part of the panel “Advances in green hydrogen projects in Chile”, also on June 29. For the EDF Group, building a CO2 neutral future through electricity and innovative solutions is the best way to promote sustainable development and fight against climate change. For the same reason, and both nationally and internationally, EDF has a low carbon hydrogen plan, which aims to develop 3 GW of hydrogen projects through electrolysis to 2030 in several countries, among which Chile stands out given the extraordinary potential for renewable generation and the country’s commitment to energy transition.
