The Hyvolution Exhibition and International Congress, originally from France and considered the most important in Europe, will have its second edition in Chile and will be held from September 3 to 5 at the Metropolitan Santiago Convention Center.
This year, the event is framed within the context of the Green Hydrogen Action Plan 2023-2030 promoted by the State, which aims to define a roadmap for the sustainable development of the green hydrogen industry and its derivatives. Hyvolution Chile 2024 is positioned as the key space to bring together all sectors and actors involved in this emerging industry.
This edition will feature the participation of various companies related to green hydrogen, renewable energies, and their entire value chain, projecting around 100 national and international exhibitors who will present their projects, products, technologies, and services. So far, 13 countries have confirmed their participation, including South Korea, China, France, Germany, the United Kingdom, Italy, the Netherlands, Canada, Belgium, Switzerland, Austria, Spain, and Uruguay, consolidating its international presence and importance in the region.
This year, more than 4,000 professional visitors from the industry are expected to attend, including potential buyers, investors, technology developers, energy producers, hydrogen producers, and public institutions.
Hyvolution Chile 2024 is organized by FISA, part of the GL events group, and is supported by important private and public institutions such as the ministries of Environment, Finance, Energy, Transport and Telecommunications, as well as ProChile, InvestChile, Aprimin, Acades, Conecta Logística, the French Embassy in Chile, MEDEF, Acera, GIZ, the Chilean-French Chamber of Commerce, and the Sustainable Club.
Rodrigo Lobo, acting General Manager of FISA, highlighted the importance of this event, stating that it will not only be a meeting point for key industry players but also a platform for innovation and sustainable development. “We are confident that Hyvolution 2024 will continue to significantly contribute to the industry, aligning with the plan being carried out at the national level,” he said.
Highlights of Hyvolution 2024
Among the highlights of this edition is the H2 Grand Prix, organized by the SOFOFA Educational Corporation. This hydrogen-powered car competition will feature more than 15 teams made up of students from different educational institutions, who will compete in the Chilean final on September 5. The winning team will represent Chile in the world final in California, USA. This tournament aims to foster young people’s interest in the development of renewable energies through the design of scale vehicles.
Another notable activity is “Hydrogen Night,” which will take place on Wednesday, September 4, at Metropolitan Santiago. This networking event will bring together top executives from leading companies in the sector, national and international authorities, industry associations, and exhibitors in a single place and in a context of camaraderie. International Congress
During the exhibition days, the International Congress will also take place, featuring a comprehensive program of talks and panels, with active participation from companies, sector suppliers, associations, universities, startups, and key public-private institutions within the ecosystem and its value chain.
The first day of the Congress will include the opening of the exhibition and will focus on topics such as industry regulation, Chile’s competitiveness, the state of projects, and the international purchase of Chilean green hydrogen.
The second day will address strategic infrastructure topics, working with communities, certification for green hydrogen exports, process safety, and the role of hydrogen in mobility.
The last day of the International Congress will be dedicated to the development of human capital, the role of the mining industry, and financing the energy transition.
“We hope this will be a space for conversation and learning, where different actors can be heard to continue developing the industry at the national level, a work in which we are all involved,” concluded Rodrigo Lobo.
