Santiago, September 6. Hyvolution Chile successfully completed its second edition and convened more than 4,391 visitors, who for three days turned Chile into the most relevant space for reflection on green hydrogen and the great platform in Latin America for the entire industry.
Organized by Fisa of the GL events group and H2 Chile, the meeting held in Metropolitan Santiago had 4391 visits, a congress with more than 90 panelists and the presence at the fair of 142 exhibitors, of which 49 were foreign, confirming the international drag of Hyvolution Chile, which was attended by countries such as Peru, China, Costa Rica, Mexico, Uruguay, Colombia, Argentina, Bolivia and the Netherlands.
“This success consolidates us as the most important green hydrogen event in Latin America and obviously gives us even more strength to continue with a 2025 version,” said Francisco Sotomayor, CEO of GL events.
“We have seen with special interest that the sector itself has become more tangible and it is also a satisfaction because its evolution has been very powerful. If in the first version we all came with flyers and brochures, now the second version we had a truck, bicycles, generators and various solutions, so obviously there is another perspective,” added Sotomayor.
The International Congress also became a key event of the meeting, which was reflected in the 13 panels that brought together more than 90 speakers, and which in its three days received a large audience. The talks addressed the progress of the industry in Chile, where there are 74 projects, of which there are 9 operating at pilot scale and 6 in environmental assessment.
Hydrogen cars
The Grand Prix H2 was another major milestone, where more than 30 young people became protagonists of the energy transition, competing with scale cars powered by green hydrogen. For three days, high school students put their ingenuity, creativity and technical skills to the test in the H2 Grand Prix, an international competition that culminated with the victory of the Hydroracers team from Liceo Bicentenario Industrial Domingo Matte Pérez, which belongs to the SOFOFA High School Network, and who will represent Chile in the world final in the United States next year.
“The purpose of Hyvolution is to bring together the entire value chain of the sector to promote its development, from production to different uses. We bring together supply and demand to gain in competitiveness and competencies, as well as authorities, legislators, investors, operators and suppliers to reach the agreements that the planet demands from us today. The presence of the academy and the Grand Prix was a real highlight,” said Francisco Sotomayor, CEO of GL events.
