The Naval Energy Summit 2025 will take place on August 27 and 28 in the Valparaíso region. This event is organized by the Chilean Navy in conjunction with Elevawood, and is sponsored by the Ministry of Energy, Directemar and H2 Chile.
It is the first international meeting to bring together authorities, representatives from the public and private sectors, industry, academia and experts to discuss the challenges and opportunities of the energy transition in the maritime and naval defense industry.
Its program, of a technical nature, is framed around the following lines of action:
- Energy strategy and maritime decarbonization.
- Ecosystem of capabilities for an effective energy transition.
- Shipbuilding and modernization: from plan to practice.
- Supply and demand for new fuels.
The event will feature keynote speeches, presentations of results, panel discussions, technical and commercial networking spaces, side events and exhibition of leading brands in innovation.
Attendance will be limited to 200 people, prioritizing key players in the sector. In addition, the event will be transmitted by streaming through the official social networks of the Chilean Navy, to facilitate access and participation at national and international level.
“For the Chilean Navy, this event is a unique opportunity to lay the foundations for the joint efforts of the different actors in the maritime industry, strengthen the development of strategic capabilities and advance in energy solutions that support the energy autonomy and operational efficiency of our country, hand in hand with the development of technologies for the construction of new ships, products of the Continuous National Shipbuilding Plan,” said the head of the Energy Research and Assurance Program, First Lieutenant Rodolfo Martínez Benavente, of the Navy’s Directorate of Programs, Research and Development.
The Naval Energy Summit 2025 will be attended by national and international speakers and panelists, including representatives from ministries, international organizations, academia and leading companies such as the Port of Rotterdam, the Port of Antwerp and Bruges, the Delegation of the European Union, the University of Valparaiso, Woman in Green Hydrogen (WIGH), Asmar, ABB and other key players in the sector.
“This summit seeks to connect innovation, technology and strategic collaboration, projecting the future of the maritime and defense industry towards a more sustainable, efficient and competitive model. We invite the entire energy, maritime, aquaculture, mining and port industries to be part of this key conversation for Chile and the region,” said the director of Elevawod, Marialba Coquis, organizer of the event.
