More than 100 companies and thousands of attendees gathered to discuss energy transition. The conference stood out for its 38% female participation among its speakers, reflecting increasingly diverse leadership.
After three days of dialogue, analysis, exhibitions, and meetings between companies, suppliers, academics, and authorities, the third edition of Hyvolution Chile 2025 came to a successful conclusion on Thursday, 4th, at the Metropolitan Santiago Convention Centre. The event brought together the main players in the green hydrogen industry to analyse the present and project the future of the sector.
The meeting covered all the most critical aspects for the industry’s maturation, from geopolitics and regulatory frameworks to domestic demand, financial incentives, human capital formation, technological innovation, and the development of derivatives such as ammonia.
Organised by FISA, part of the GL events group, together with the Chilean Hydrogen Association, H2 Chile, the event welcomed more than 4,487 attendees and featured more than 100 exhibiting companies showcasing their latest innovations in energy, mobility and infrastructure. In parallel, an international conference was held with 14 panels and 85 speakers, 38% of whom were women, a figure that reflects the growing female leadership in the industry and was reinforced by the side event ‘Women in Green Hydrogen: Advances towards Gender Equality in Chile’.

Francisco Sotomayor, CEO of GL events Chile, organiser of the event through FISA, said: “Hyvolution Chile 2025 closed on a very positive note. At this fair, we managed to bring together key players, forge alliances and open up discussions that will have a direct impact on the economy of the future, consolidating Hyvolution as the main platform for coordination in the sector in Latin America, to which we can add the Brazilian version of this fair, which will be held on 16 and 17 June 2026 in São Paulo.”
For his part, Marcos Kulka, executive director of the Chilean Hydrogen Association (H2 Chile), highlighted that Hyvolution Chile 2025 showed that green hydrogen is not just an energy issue, but a national project. “This edition showed that Chile has the capabilities and the will of different sectors to turn this opportunity into a real driver of productive and sustainable transformation. The great challenge now is to continue this work and transform the consensus reached into concrete actions that accelerate the implementation of projects and consolidate green hydrogen as an engine of competitiveness, regional development and global projection for our country.”

During the opening ceremony, the honorary president of Hyvolution Chile, Energy Minister Diego Pardow, highlighted the strategic importance of the industry and stressed that ‘hydrogen is not only a meeting point, but also invites us to dream,’ emphasising the opportunities it opens up for regional development and national growth. In the same vein, the president of the CPC and of the Hyvolution 2025 Congress, Susana Jiménez, celebrated the convening of this edition and specified: “Today there are 77 publicly announced projects, representing a total of USD 170 billion, equivalent to more than half of the national GDP. This meeting has been fundamental in bringing together perspectives, experiences and information that allow us to project Chile as a leader in the energy transition.”
Key milestones
Hyvolution Chile 2025 also served as a stage for the formalisation of public-private agreements. Among them was the alliance between the HidroHaul Technology Programme —supported by CORFO and led by IEE together with Mining3 and Marval, with the backing of Walmart Chile and Copec— and RBU Santiago, operator of the RED public transport system in the Metropolitan Region, which will enable the development of the first green hydrogen-powered bus in Santiago.

This was complemented by the launch of the project ‘Scaling Modular Green Hydrogen for Industrial Transformation in Brazil and Chile’, signed by WILO, the German Society for International Cooperation and the Chilean-German Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
For the second consecutive year, the fair hosted the H2 Grand Prix student competition, which brought together twenty technical-professional secondary school teams from different regions of the country. The competition, organised by the SOFOFA Corporation, is sponsored by the Ministry of Energy, Hyvolution, H2 Chile and Colbún (main sponsor), ENGIE and MAE.
First place went to the Eventus team from the Liceo Industrial Bicentenario Benjamín Dávila Larraín in Renca, which will represent Chile in the world final in Switzerland in 2026. At the awards ceremony, FISA General Manager Carola Fuentes said: ‘For FISA, part of the GL events group, it is an honour to support the H2 Grand Prix Chile. We firmly believe in the virtuous circle created around this initiative and how it has been integrated into our fair as a space that inspires, connects and projects new generations.’

With delegations from 15 countries, including China, Switzerland, the Netherlands, Austria, Canada, South Korea, Uruguay, France, Portugal, Brazil, and Italy, Hyvolution Chile 2025 closed this edition, which is positioned as a regional benchmark for the green hydrogen industry, projecting new milestones in international collaboration and the next edition in Brazil in 2026.
