
Between September 2 and 4, during the 3rd International Exhibition and Congress on Green Hydrogen in Chile, the most important international school competition for cars powered by this energy will take place.
Everything is ready for the Hydrogen Grand Prix (H2GP), a competition featuring scale model cars powered by green hydrogen, which brings together 20 teams of students from across the country to showcase their creativity, innovation, and technical skills in a series of exciting races.
This year, the inauguration of the H2GP will once again be attended by the Minister of Energy and Honorary President of Hyvolution Chile, Diego Pardow, and the President of SOFOFA, Rosario Navarro. The judging panel will be chaired by Kamil Jelinek, CEO of Horizon, and will include members from Colbún, Engie, and TCI Geocomp.
The H2GP Chile 2025 competitions are scheduled for Wednesday, September 3, where the winning team will represent Chile in the international H2GP competition. The Colbún Energía and PITS competitions will also take place. Thursday, September 4 will feature the Second Energy competition, in which the winning team will be the one that completes the most laps in an hour, overcoming obstacles at height.
Regarding the awards, Colbún will be responsible for presenting the Energy Innovation Award, while Engie will do the same with the Women in Energy Award for young women. The Regional Ministerial Secretary for Energy will present the Women in Energy Seal, and finally, TCI Geocomp will honor the team that has shown the best spirit of collective work.
