The international science and engineering training program for high school students that promotes the adoption of renewable energy and hydrogen technologies is once again part of the exhibition.
At the Metropolitan Santiago convention center, between September 2 and 4, will take place the fair and international congress of the green hydrogen world in the country, Hyvolution Chile. The fair not only brings together the most important actors of the ecosystem of this clean energy at national, regional and global level. It is also the place where the final of the H2 Grand Prix (H2GP) will take place.
The H2GP was created by the company Horizon Educational and is based on STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Mathematics) for high school students in which they design, build and compete with RC (Radio Control) cars, powered by hydrogen, with the goal of learning about renewable energy. It was founded in 2017, explains with more than 20 participating countries and more than 500 teams in races and its international grand final is disputed in California, United States.
In Chile, the H2GP is run by the SOFOFA Educational Corporation and sponsored by the country’s Ministry of Energy, H2 Chile and Colbún. The students participating in the event come from the SOFOFA High School Network, which seeks to be a reference for the Technical Professional Education model.
María de los Ángeles Troncoso, commercial manager of Hyvolution Chile, stated that “The H2 Grand Prix connects us directly with the energy future of the country: young people. The participation of students in the exhibition fills us with pride and hope in the promotion and establishment of a clean and sustainable energy industry. That young people show interest in these matters is undoubtedly something very positive for Chile and we want to provide the space for more initiatives like this to thrive.”
