For ENGIE Chile, our country has a key role to play in boosting the increase of green hydrogen production, and from there it is positioned as a company that has a leading role in promoting and increasing the production of renewable hydrogen under competitive conditions.

It should be noted that the company has been present in the country for more than 100 years, participating in the generation, transmission and supply of electricity. In addition, the transportation of natural gas and the constant commitment to new technologies such as green hydrogen, leading the energy transformation of Chile.

For ENGIE, the importance of being present at this event, which is being held for the first time in Chile, lies in the fact that green hydrogen will not only reduce CO2 emissions, but will further boost local economies through the creation of new jobs and the preservation of existing ones.

Furthermore, he has always argued that in order to meet climate targets and fully unlock the decarbonization potential of hydrogen, we must act fast and think big, developing the necessary support schemes to enable these technologies to provide competitive solutions by 2030.

Faced with this challenge and as in other sectors, there are many aspects that are being discussed today to find the best ways to achieve the common goals that we as a society have. As part of the industry, ENGIE intends to contribute to the conversation and reflection in this event of international magnitude.
